Responsibilities
Ensuring the safe and compliant operation of an HGV vehicle.

What We're Looking For

Independence: Comfortable with overnight stays in the wagon and working autonomously.
Physical Fitness: Capable of performing physical tasks, including handballing goods.
A Typical Day
Shift Start Time: 12:00 PM
Shift End Time: 6:00 PM the next day
Conduct vehicle safety checks before starting your journey.
Load goods securely in preparation for delivery.
Travel to designated store locations and complete deliveries using the powered pallet truck.
Stay overnight in the wagon where required.
Perform thorough post-journey vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly.

About the Role
We are looking for a responsible, motivated, and customer-oriented Van Driver to join our dedicated team. This role will require you to represent our brand with professionalism and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Working as part of a 2-3 person team, this position provides a fulfilling and dynamic opportunity for someone with relevant driving and manual handling experience.
Shift Timings: 6:45 am till 4:00 pm
Pay Rate: £13.99 per hour, increasing to £14.04 per hour after 12 weeks
Key Responsibilities
Efficiently and safely drive a company-provided van for deliveries. (Must hold a full, valid UK driving licence.)
Deliver and install/assemble furniture in customers' homes with care and attention to detail.
Handle and transport furniture safely using appropriate manual handling techniques.
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and clients by delivering excellent customer-facing service.
Work effectively as part of a 2-3 person team to ensure the successful delivery of our services.
Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the van assigned to you.
Requirements
Full and valid UK driving licence required.
Proven experience driving vans professionally and confidently.
Previous experience in handling and assembling furniture is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills with a customer-friendly attitude.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
The ability to work Saturdays if required, with the assurance of a day off in the week if you are scheduled to work on a Saturday.
