Warehouse Supervisor - £29,328 pa - Grimsby
We are excited to be working in partnership with a well established client in the food industry with their search for a Warehouse Supervisor.
The Role of Warehouse Supervisor:
Leading a small team of 3 you will be responsible for the following:
Effective organisation of staffing, loading times and equipment to meet operational needs.
Lead in the distribution, handling and verification of raw and frozen product orders.
Inspect products for defects, contamination, or inconsistencies, reporting any non-conformances promptly to line leaders and QAs.
Record and reporting of health and safety within the chill, freezing and yard areas.
Report issues with product quality, packaging, equipment, or food safety hazards to QAs.
Assist with stock control and proper storage, maintaining required temperature and handling procedures.
Follow strict personal hygiene, PPE requirements and "clean as you go" practices.
Work closely with Transport Supervisor to coordinate goods deliveries.
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Competent in operation of the blast freezer including records, quality and programming.
Participate in the freezing process including stock movement and handballing of cases.
Requires regular manual handling, including lifting and moving cases weighing 10kg or more.
Communicate effectively with management, quality teams and colleagues
Complete training in food safety, hygiene and health and safety
Develop a strong understanding of seafood processing and BRCGS compliance requirements.
The Person:
You will have FLT and A1 Electric Jack experience as well as banksman experience.
A background within distribution of raw or frozen products is essential.
Experience of blast operating procedures is also expected.
A good understanding of Quality Control is also expected, along with Level 2 Food Safety.
The successful candidate will also need to be able to cover Saturday shifts when needed.
The details:
£14.10 per hour. Permanent role.
Working hours Monday- Friday 6am -2pm (possibly some 5.45am-2.15pm)
Some Saturday coverage - 2 Saturdays per month, 5am-9am (Overtime paid at x 1.25)
