Warehouse Operative

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Operatives to join our team at a leading clothing brand warehouse in Liverpool, Speke L24. This role emphasizes contributing to day-to-day operations, including goods in, goods out, picking, packing, and returns processing. You will be a key player in maintaining a well-organized and efficient operation while helping deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Location: Liverpool, Speke L24

Shifts and Pay

• Morning Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM | £12.71/hour
• Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM | £14.71/hour
• Weekends: £14.71/hour
• Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7 days, including weekends

 

Responsibilities of a Warehouse Operative

• Picking and Packing: Accurately pick items from stock locations and pack them according to company guidelines for prompt dispatch.
• Goods In and Goods Out Operations: Assist in receiving incoming deliveries and preparing outgoing shipments efficiently.
• Returns Processing: Inspect and process returned stock while upholding quality standards.
• Stock Management: Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring items are stored in appropriate locations for ease of access.
• Quality Control: Perform routine quality checks to uphold the company's standards for all outgoing and incoming goods.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to smooth out operations and resolve potential issues effectively.

 

Requirements of a Warehouse Operative

Although previous experience in warehouse operations is preferred, it is not essential as full training will be provided.

• Experience: Background in picking, packing, goods-in/goods-out, or returns processing is advantageous.
• Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
  • Physical stamina to carry out repetitive tasks and occasional heavy lifting.
• Attributes: Reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

 

Day-to-Day Duties of a Warehouse Operative

Your routine as a warehouse operative may include:

• Starting your shift with a team briefing to discuss daily targets and priorities.
• Ensuring your workstation is organized and prepared for the tasks ahead.
• Picking and packing orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Managing the processing of returns and updating inventory as needed.
• Proactively collaborating with your team to overcome delays and maintain a smooth workflow.
• Consistently adhering to workplace safety protocols and responsibly handling equipment and materials.
• Communicating with supervisors to flag any concerns and propose practical solutions.
