Job Description: Production Operative - Strip Tinning

Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Production Operatives to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are passionate about manufacturing and assembly of electrical components for the automotive industry. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to contributing to the production of high-quality products.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and manufacture electrical components used in the automotive sector, ensuring all products meet high-quality standards.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to guarantee precision and compliance with company production guidelines.
  • Monitor the production process, identifying any issues and escalating as necessary to ensure minimal disruption.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet and exceed production targets.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols, maintaining an organized and safe working environment at all times.
  • Complete routine maintenance checks of tools, machinery, and equipment, reporting any faults promptly.
  • Provide feedback to supervisors to aid in the improvement of processes and overall efficiency.
  • Be flexible to respond to changing shifts, including early morning (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM) and occasional afternoon shifts as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in assembly/manufacturing, particularly with electrical components, is preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided to the right candidate.

  • Skills:  Strong attention to detail and precision in assembly work.

    •   Good communication and team-working skills.
    •   Basic mechanical or technical skills are advantageous.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to varying shifts, including early morning and potential afternoon work. You will need to train on 6am-2pm and there could be a change you go onto afternoon shift. 

  • Pay Rate - £12.21

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

  • Start your day by attending a team briefing outlining the day's production targets.
  • Prepare tools, materials, and workstations to begin the assembly process.
  • Carefully assemble, test, and inspect automotive electrical components.
