Production Operative

Production Operative Opportunities - Chorley

Due to continued growth in demand, we are looking for motivated Operatives to join a busy manufacturing operation based in Chorley.

These are temporary-to-permanent opportunities for the right candidates, working Monday to Friday on one of the following fixed shifts:

• 6:00am - 2:00pm
• 2:00pm - 10:00pm

Pay Rates

• Operative Level 2 - £13.25 per hour
• Operative Level 3 - £13.75 per hour
• Operative Level 4 - £14.18 per hour

Depending on experience, suitable candidates may be considered for a Level 3 position from the outset, with the opportunity to progress to Level 4 within approximately four weeks, subject to performance, training completion and competency assessment.

About the Role

Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will play a key role in the production of engineered timber products, ensuring quality, efficiency and safety standards are maintained at all times.

We Would Like to Hear From People Who Have:

• Experience within a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment
• A strong awareness of health and safety procedures
• The ability to work effectively within a team with minimal supervision
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills

Key Responsibilities

• Working from technical drawings to produce large engineered timber products
• Organising and preparing timber to meet production requirements
• Operating a range of power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
• Operating production machinery to ensure accurate manufacturing
• Setting, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment in line with COSHH regulations
• Accurately recording production and quality information
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety
