Mailroom and Warehouse Assistant - Rugeley - £31k

We are proud to be assisting our busy Rugeley client with their appointment of a Mailroom and Warehouse Assistant.

This role offers the opportunity to become an important part of the fulfilment team, packing and dispatching customer orders ahead of time.

Role of Mailroom and Warehouse Assistant:

  • Pick and check items accurately against customer orders.
  • Pack mail, parcels and customer orders carefully, using the correct packaging, labels and documentation.
  • Assemble kits and packs, checking that all required items are included before dispatch.
  • Prepare UK and international orders for dispatch, including any required paperwork.
  • Work with the team to ensure orders are ready for daily post and courier collections.
  • Use company systems to enter order details, create labels and update dispatch records.
  • Carry out basic printing tasks as part of preparing customer orders.
  • Receive deliveries, put stock away, check stock levels and help process returns.
  • Keep mailroom and warehouse work areas clean, tidy and organised.
  • Report order issues, stock shortages, discrepancies or delays to the appropriate team member.
  • Support other packing, mailroom and warehouse tasks as required.

 

Details:

Salary: £31k

Location - Rugeley

40 hours per week, 5 days a week, Monday to Friday

8.30am - 5pm- flexibility offered around start and finish times

Requirements of Mailroom and Warehouse Assistant:

  • Good attention to detail when picking, checking and packing orders.
  • A reliable and organised approach to work.
  • Ability to work accurately while meeting daily deadlines.
  • A flexible, helpful attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
  • Comfortable carrying out practical, hands-on work.
  • General IT skills, including Microsoft Office, email and data entry.
