Logistics Supervisor - £38,000 pa - Birmingham
The Role
Managing all aspects of the logistics team, specifically goods in, shipment reports, inventory control and despatch management.
Ensuring timely and accurate despatch of product to the customer, along with maintenance of accurate records of raw material and finished stock inventory.
Assuming responsibility for the raw and finished goods layout within the plant, you will report back and liaise with supply chain to ensure inventory levels and space are controlled.
Conducting internal logistic audits to ensure that procedures are appropriate and being adhered to, and to co-ordinate and be responsible for any necessary corrective actions.
Arranging for regular inventory checks to be undertaken.
To be responsible for the monitoring and recording of operational measures on logistic performance.
Controlling the yard in terms of traffic management and preparation locations, ensuring vehicles required for loading to customer are controlled in good time to minimise disruption.
Attending meetings with production and goods in to discuss requirements or issues.
Recruiting for FLT team members and identifying/organising training needed.
Addressing stock deficiencies and highlighting waste.
Ensuring correct entry of all data onto the system.

The Person
With great communication skills and a methodical approach to work, you will be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and will fully support team members with their development.
You will be experienced in working within a fast-moving manufacturing environment with a high commitment to quality (ISO9001)
Computer literacy is essential, along with good organisational skills.
Experience with Navision is advantageous.
