The role of Logistics Co Ordinator
The Transport Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring transportation operations to ensure efficient, timely delivery of goods. This role involves liaising with driversand internal teams to maintain smooth logistics operations.
Raising cases and issues with external contractors, suppliers and customer through systems supplied, constantly monitoring progress
Checking out vehicles, ensuring driver details and inventory match the system
Liaising with warehouse, security team, driver and clients via phone and email
Communicate with warehouse team to prioritise shunter moves
Ensuring all vehicles are secure when leaving site and full details are logged
Monitoring vehicle locations
Ensuring thorough handover with colleagues at the end of shift
Resolving issues and updating systems
The person
You will ideally have experience within a transport office and will be used to working in a fast-paced environment and to deadlines
You will be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
High attention to detail and accuracy is expected and essential to the role

Initial 3 week training programme on site at Corby
£32k plus shift allowance of £3,900
4 on 4 off rotating days/nights on 12 hour shifts - 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am
