Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional LGV2 Driver to join our client on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver looking for a stable and rewarding role. The position involves multi-drop deliveries to fish and chip shops, with the potential for cash handling duties. Schedule: Monday to Friday, starting between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM.
Salary: £15.50 per hour during the temporary period, transitioning to £32,868 per annum plus bonuses upon becoming a full-time employee.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate an LGV2 vehicle to complete multi-drop deliveries.
- Handle products with care to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Manage cash transactions when required, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid LGV2 (Category C) driving license.
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
- Digital tachograph card.
- Proven experience in multi-drop delivery driving is preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to handle cash responsibly and accurately.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Day-to-Day
- Start your day between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, ensuring your vehicle is ready for the day's deliveries.
- Load and secure products for delivery.
- Complete multi-drop deliveries to fish and chip shops, maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Handle cash transactions as required, ensuring all payments are recorded accurately.
- Return to the depot, complete end-of-day checks, and report any issues or concerns.
