We are currently recruiting for an experienced and dependable Forklift Counterbalance Driver to join our client's busy operation in Cambuslang. This is a hands-on role that combines forklift duties with general yard and labouring responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a varied working day and thrives in an outdoor environment.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to load and unload vehicles.

• Load customer and company vehicles accurately and safely.

• Assist with general yard duties and support the wider yard team as required.

• Move, organise and store materials within the yard.

• Carry out general yard maintenance to ensure a clean, tidy and safe working environment.

• Assist with manual labouring duties as required.

• Complete daily forklift inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.

• Follow all company health and safety procedures at all times.

• Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently.

What We're Looking For

• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential).

• Previous forklift operating experience within a yard, warehouse or industrial environment.

• Good understanding of health and safety practices.

• Ability to carry out manual handling and physical labouring duties.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Reliable, punctual and self-motivated approach to work.

• Good attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.

What You'll Be Doing

Your day will typically begin with a forklift safety inspection before moving on to loading and unloading vehicles. You'll support the wider team by helping within the yard, organising materials, assisting with vehicle loading, and carrying out general labouring duties. Throughout the day, you'll work closely with colleagues to maintain a safe and productive operation.
